Essential information on applying for FightMND grants, including the application process, key dates and important requirements.
Application process
FightMND’s grants program aims to support high-impact MND research, clinical initiatives and programs supporting Australians affected by MND. The grants program follows NHMRC principles, to ensure the process is fair, independent and transparent.
Applicants apply for funding through a competitive peer-reviewed process. Each application is reviewed by independent experts from Australia and overseas. Projects are assessed on the quality, how achievable the project is, and how much it could help people living with MND. Only the strongest applications are considered for funding.
Top applications are discussed by an expert review panel, and final funding decisions are approved by the FightMND Board. Funded projects are checked regularly to ensure the research is on track and making a real impact.
The program is guided by input from people living with MND, carers, clinicians and researchers to focus on what matters most to the MND community.

All FightMND grant applications must be submitted through FightMND’s grant management system, Fluxx.
