This year the Big Freeze at the ‘G is bringing the chills and thrills like never before. Cheer on a new team of Sliders as they take on the Big Freeze 11 slide all in the name of raising awareness and vital funds for MND research.

The icy action of the Big Freeze 11 Slide is just the beginning! Watch Melbourne and Collingwood light up the MCG in a high-stakes clash like no other. Wear your Big Freeze 11 Beanie, cheer for your team, and be part of this incredible movement to fight MND. 

Our amazing FightMND volunteers are back in force across the MCG selling Beanies, collecting donations and spreading the word about the fight against the Beast.

The excitement is building. Big Freeze 11 is shaping up to be an unforgettable day of fun, community and action as we unite to fight the Beast that is MND. Here’s everything you need to know. 

  • 10:30am – 12:30pm: Kickstart the day at Federation Square with the Zurich Walk to the ‘G festivities.  
  • 12:30pm: The Zurich Walk to the ‘G leaves from Federation Square as the MCG opens its gates.  
  • 2:00pm: It’s time for the Big Freeze Slide! Watch as our brave Sliders take the icy plunge for MND awareness.  
  • 3:20pm: Game time! Watch Melbourne and Collingwood go head-to-head in the annual King’s Birthday clash!

SA Freeze: Adelaide Crows FC v Brisbane Lions 

Get ready South Australia! The SA Freeze is back, bigger and colder, for Big Freeze 11. Join us on 6 June as we team up with the Adelaide Crows and bring the iconic Big Freeze Beanie to the heart of SA, Adelaide Oval, and rally together to fight MND.

Perth, are you ready for the WA Freeze? Once again, we’re partnering with the West Coast Eagles to take the freeze out west! Join us at Optus Stadium as a star-studded lineup take the icy plunge. Join us on Sunday, June 15, as we unite to fight MND.
