Researchers working in areas relevant to improving the translation or progressing the development of potential therapies for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) are invited to apply for funding to support research projects commencing in 2026.

Opening on November 3, 2025, FightMND are pleased to announce a call for the following Research Grants. Click below for grant criteria and further information.
Schemes open to Australian and International Primary Investigators:
- Clinical Trial Grants
 - Drug Development Grants  
- Stage 1 – Early-phase Drug Development Grants
 - Stage 2 – Late-phase Drug Development Grants
 
 - IMPACT (IMProving and ACcelerating Translation) Grants
 
Schemes open ONLY to applicants based in Australia
Application Limits
Applicants are limited to THREE (3) applications per person in total as an investigator (Primary or Co-Investigator) across all research schemes (excluding Fellowships). There is no restriction on grants as a collaborator.
Minimum data requirement
FightMND are introducing a minimum data requirement for all schemes that do not have a Letter of Intent stage (IMPACT, Discovery, Early and Mid Career Fellowships).
Primary Investigators MUST complete minimum data requirements by 23rd Feb 2026 5pm AEDT. After this time, the form will close and applications cannot be commenced in the Fluxx system. Minimum data MUST be completed for your application to be considered in 2026.
