Early-Career Research Fellowship support research aimed at understanding the causes of MND, elucidating disease mechanisms and facilitating the translation of therapeutic strategies from the laboratory to the clinic.
FightMND aims to attract and retain promising scientists within the field of MND research.
This is a 4-year full-time Fellowship up to a total of AUD $545,000.
Eligibility: The applicant must be a non-clinical early-career researcher within 5 years post-PhD award (excluding career disruptions) and based in research institutions within Australia.
Minimum data requirement
FightMND are introducing a minimum data requirement for all schemes that do not have a Letter of Intent stage (IMPACT, Discovery, Early and Mid Career Fellowships).
Primary Investigators MUST complete minimum data requirements by 23rd Feb 2026 5pm AEDT. After this time, the form will close and applications cannot be commenced in the Fluxx system. Minimum data MUST be completed for your application to be considered in 2026.
